Philosophy

My philosophy in life is to live and let live. But when the dreams of others become my nightmare, then my philosophy adapts accordingly (an eye for an eye). The core values (issues) that matter to me as a human being are justice, equality, fairness, equity, public respect, self (communal) preservation, and reciprocity. We humans see life in googleplex perspectives, but underneath it all, we share a collective experience engraved with a spectrum of memories and emotions. Our physical experience on this planet has led us to find refuge, shelter, subsistence, resources in our homelands or other lands. And this experience, which changes through the ages, gives rise to our good worth as human beings or it gives rise to countless injustices, which are the source of tears, pains, anguish, despair, and violence. Peace is not just the absence of war, but the attainment of equal rights as human beings. One of those rights is the right to exercise and experience dignity, acknowledgement of one’s existence, and respect for one’s right to live and have an opinion without retributions. Here lies the root of many struggles that humans may experience from birth to death. Modernity does not eradicate the worst in human nature; it amplifies it with many more nuances and complexities. It behooves us to engage life with steady intent and follow through not only for our own sake but for the sake of our loved ones in an ever challenging society.

Core belief:
Do what is good and right for myself, for others, and for nature.
